The Voodoo Birds formed in 1990 in Athens, Ohio, and quickly became the area’s favorite party band, entertaining Ohio University students for over a decade.
In 1993 the band relocated to Chapel Hill, N.C. and played over a thousand live shows ranging from Michigan to Georgia. After a long migration by various members of the band, they have come back together again to form a new, and inspired, flight formation.
The Voodoo Birds recently returned to share their Original Dance Groove with a show in Athens, Ohio, on November 1st, 2024.
The spirit of Rob (“QBert) Quebman (saxophone) lives on with the band, and every show we play is dedicated in loving memory of his unending charm and talent.

A new album is on the way!
It has been many moons since the Voodoo Birds were last in the studio. This fall, the band will return to the studio to record several of their original songs. Once complete, CDs (maybe even vinyl), as well as downloadable options from various media outlets will be available. Stay tuned.
